Being Fearless

I have come to the conclusion that we should aim to go through our lives being fearless. What do I mean by this?
I do not necessarily mean that we should go through our lives not being careful and exercising caution where necessary I simply mean that we should not go through life being afraid of our future.
Unfortunately many people go through life with a fear of impending doom. This is probably more to do with our social upbringing than anything else. Our parents worked so hard to instill fear in us so that we did not put ourselves in life threatening or other bad situations but forgot to balance this by instilling bravery and self esteem in us. They did not give us the faith in ourselves that we can overcome obstacles placed in our path.
In my article 'Be Fearless!' I explain the mental damage that we are doing to ourselves if we go through life being perpetually afraid. So I say to you, do anything you can to ditch your fears because they are your greatest enemies.

When life gets you down

Since I started diliberately going about the process of aquiring a positive I have found that it is not just a matter of just feeling more and more positive, this is normal, it is more like 2 steps forward one step back.
The tone of my most recent articles has been about not letting oneself become worried and afraid and allowing negative thoughts creep in.
The key to maintaining a positive attitude is not letting yourself become overwhelmed by the negative thoughts of yourself and others. This is where affirmations come in.

Why having a positive attitude is such a good idea

Positive attitude is not just a blind belief that things will go well but rather a an attitude in the way react to events and reflect on our past that leads to a positive mental state. In my article 'positive attitude and the power of the uncluttered mind' I describe the difference between optimisum and positive attitude..
The attainment of a positive mental state not only makes a you feel happier generally in your outlook on life but also makes you more effective both at work and at home.

How this site got started

I started this site after writing a number of articles on ezines about self improvement, positive attitude, happiness etc. After I started writing the articles, I found there was an opportunity to direct people to my website but I didn't have one.
I thought people may be interested in my ideas about being positive and may want to comment on them, so this is your opportunity.
